In November the post was invited to participate in a Veterans Day recognition Day Service at
the Pillars senior retirement facility. The Pillars has about 25 veterans residing there. We had
Commander Tim, Jim Cooper, Wally Lind, any myself along with Tammy Dennison, and Cecilia Wegner from the Auxiliary.
The program was very well organized, and we lead the Pledge of Allegiance and the National
Anthem. They honored their veterans with pins and certificates. We were also given pins
recognizing our service. The presentations were made by the husband of the organizer. The
speaker was the pastor of the Mercy Road Church also a veteran.
The event was appreciated by all. I also passed along a transfer of membership to a lady
named Linda Ebersole, an Army nurse in the Vietnam war. She plans to bring it to the meeting
Monday night Dec. 1 st . Please welcome her into our ranks.
I have distributed all the magazines the membership have given me. They went to all four of the
senior retirement facilities, Pillars, Fountains, Highview Hills and Kingsley Shores. I also reached out to several of the facilities to offer visits before the Holidays if they would like and have the time. If not, I will begin setting up visits for the first quarter beginning in January. I will advise Ryan when I get them established.
