Lakeville Post 210 has a very active Buddy Poppy Program led by post member Rod Vredenburg. During the month of May, our members stand in from of the Lakeville Fleet Farm and collect donations for our largest fundraiser of the year providing funds for veteran's relief programs!
Just a few historical examples of the uses of the funds raised are donations made to the Hastings Veterans Home to build a new greenhouse for therapeutic gardening activities. A rehabilitation of a local veteran's home after it was discovered that it had a significant mold infestation. Americanism activities in the schools and emergency aid to veterans and families in need.
