Ryan served in Iraq for two tours of duty as a tank crewman with Delta Co of the 1-8 Infantry Battalion, 3rd Brigade Combat Team, 4th Infantry Division. He was stationed at Fort Carson, CO.

 

Ryan lives in Lakeville, MN with his wife and 3 children. Beyond his involvement in the VFW, he is also involved in local youth sports, especially baseball in Lakeville where he serves as the Fields and Facilities Director with the Lakeville Baseball Association.
