Ken Titcomb – VFW Post 210 Lakeville Quartermaster and Co Chair Lakeville Tee it up for the Troops at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club
He has been Post Quartermaster since 2014. He has been active in veterans community support since 2012 when he retired from the Navy Reserve. He is an Iraq veteran and after his Navy career ended wanted to channel his efforts through Veterans of Foreign Wars, Tee it up for the Troops and the General Mills Veterans Network.
Ken along with Rick Dale co-founded the Lakeville Tee it up for the Troops charity golf event in 2012 at Brackett’s Crossing Country Club. Through the first 5 years the event has provided over $250,000 in grants to support the most worthy veteran support groups. He was also a founding member of the General Mills Veterans Network and chair for Community Service Pillar.
In his military career, Ken achieved rank of Commander as a member of the Navy Supply Corps and was born in La Crosse WI. He holds a BS and MBA from University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. He is a 1985 graduate of Officer Candidate School, Newport R.I. and of the Navy Supply Corps School, Athens, GA. During his Navy Reserve career he served in a variety shipboard and shore based active and reserve billets, including 3 years on the USS Biddle CG-34 out of Norfolk, VA and a year deployed to Baghdad, Iraq in 2008-2009 serving with Multi-National Forces-Iraq. His military awards include Bronze Star, Meritorious Service, Navy Commendation and Navy Achievement (2), Iraq Campaign Medal, Navy Sea Service Deployment Ribbon.
Ken has been married to his wife Karen for over 35 years and they have one daughter, Jennifer who is married to Matthew Nightingale. Karen and Ken have been residents of Lakeville, MN for over 21 years.
