Vince Goodwin

Enlisted United States Navy 1978.  Served aboard USS Tulare AKA 112, USS Long Beach CGN 9 and USS Fox CG 33.  Primary rate was radioman, teletype repair and comsys technician.  Made 3 Western Pacific/Indian Ocean cruises with 109 days straight in the Persion gulf as an escort during the Iraq Iranian war. Left the Navy after completing a six year enlistment. 

Moved to St. Paul Minnesota in 1984, Eagan, Minnesota 1985 and finally to Lakeville, Minneosta in 1989.  Was employed by AT&T and Authorized Dealer network in small business telephone system sales from 1984 - 2002, did 10 years at the Home Depot as a Prodesk Associate and now am employed at the United States Post Office as a rural carrier.  

I have been married to Becky since 1983 and have raised two children, Derek and Megan, in the city of Lakeville.

Joined the VFW Post 210 as a life member in 2013.  I was looking for a way to give back after being a Scout Master and various coaches for both my kids.  The VFW has been a challenging and rewarding experience.  The members elected me Commander in 2016 and I am currently serving a second term.
